Business Development Executive with Wow Factor

SST Wireless Inc. is searching for a business development professional to lead our global ambitions to dominate the world of industrial wireless sensor technologies. The word is professional. We are not looking for a salesperson.

This critical role is ideal for you if you who revel in working out complex relationships to drive accelerated revenue growth. Your territory is the world. You will work with end customers to establish use cases that validate our products and technologies; develop and maintain distribution channels and partner with multinational OEMs.

About Our Compny

SST Wireless designs, manufacture and distributes purpose-built industrial wireless sensors and technologies to deliver on the promise of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Our technologies reduce the barriers for any company to implement sensors to monitor equipment condition in real time to make better operational decisions.

About the Opportunity

As the VP of Business, you will be joining the management team that will drive SST Wireless to be the recognized leader in the Industrial Internet of Thing (IIoT) segment.

You will report to the CEO while working collaboratively with the team. In summary, we are looking for that one very special person to lead our sales & marketing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team to support the attainment of the company’s vision and audacious ambitions.
  • Develop strategies and tactical plans that support our goal.
  • Develop a data-driven, marketing and sales strategy to grow new sales.
  • Create and execute annual and quarterly sales & market plans.
  • Recruit and manage a high caliber sales & marketing team.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics.
  • Be accountable for the results.

Qualifications & Assets

Must be a genuine person that instills trust and authenticity through words and action.
Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or Communications preferred. MBA an asset.
10+ years of experience in technology-based, senior business development role with a focus on industrial applications.
History of success, driving rapid growth and exceeding forecasts.
Demonstrable skills in strategic planning with data-driven decision making.
Ability to recruit, lead and motivate a high-performance team.
Demonstrated strength in building relationships critical to success.
At ease working with senior management down to the maintenance person on the floor.
Know how to travel for business and enjoy working with different cultures.
Multi-lingual is a definite benefit.
